12/3 絵ときデザイン史公開セミナー開催！

2015年9月17日に発売され、ご好評いただいている

石川マサル・フレア共著『絵ときデザイン史』に関する特別公開講義を、新高円寺の阿佐ヶ谷美術専門学校にて開催いたします。学生さんだけでなく、一般の方も参加いただけます。

2012年ドイツ語翻訳コンテスト入賞！

東京ドイツ文化センター（ゲーテ•インスティテュート）主催、2012年の翻訳コンテストにて、mi e ru渡辺が4位に入賞しました！

すでに20年以上の歴史を誇る本コンテスト。今年の課題は、35歳の若手作家トーマス・フォン・シュタインエッカー（Thomas von Steinaecker)の現代小説"Das Jahr, in dem ich aufhörte, mir Sorgen zu machen, und anfing zu träumen"(勝手に訳してしまうと「思い悩むことをやめ、夢見はじめた年のこと」的意味合い）でした。

2008年のリーマンショックと、それに伴う世界規模の経済的大打撃を背景に、フランクフルトからミュンヘン支社へ飛ばされたひとりの女性の初出勤日から物語は始まります。

テーマや舞台設定は、同年代として親しみが持てるものでしたが、現実と空想が交錯する展開は翻訳が難しく、事実、今回の応募者も32名にとどまったようです。

そんな中での4位！

実は、入賞者は本来三名に限られるのですが、渡辺はなんとか食い込んだ模様です。授賞式ではなぜか「残念賞」と呼ばれた4位。。。　授賞式会場から「ええ～、『努力賞』とかでいいんじゃ」という声があがっていましたが、確かに。。。

2007_NL_Diplom works"RETIREMENT!"

Diplom Works "Retirement!"

IDEA:
this is my Diplom Works 2007 at the Art Academy in the Netherlands.
The basic idea is to make my own"infographics" based on one-year research on this field.

"Retirement"- there are quite a lot of people in Japan who have worked very hard for a long time
without having any particular hobby for themselves.
So after they retired from the work, they realise that they have no idea how to spend the retirement life...
Even they don't know what they are really interested in!

...So my work is for people those who had almost no time to see the depth of their mind
and talk to themselves to find again their interests.

I made a box-formed life history about my father, -as an example of the people face the retirement problem.-
so that he can have time to look back upon the whole his life focusing on his "interests"...

Visuallized information contributes to the better understanding and full of imagination
to recall the life and the interests lead to the better retirement life...

The works consisted of two parts-one is the bigger box with my father's life history.
The other, the smaller one inside of the bigger box is for the target group to let them write
and draw their own life history as well as their ideal retirement life.

2007_NL_Typeface for Diplom Works"JAPAHOLIC"

Typeface "JAPAHOLIC"
This is an original typeface especially for my Diplom Works.
Considered the theme-it's about the japanese retirement life, I made it with the essence of the japanese characters.
The name"JAPAHOLIC" comes from the combination of "JAPAN" and "WOKERHOLIC".
